This scholarship, funded by Brad Siegel (Class of 1992) and Christy Siegel (Class of 1994), both alumni of Wayne Hills High School, Wayne residents, and advocates for students with disabilities, will be awarded to two deserving WTPS seniors in May 2025.
This annual scholarship is open to all graduates of Wayne Township Public Schools who are classified and face significant cognitive and/or social development challenges. It provides financial support for students pursuing post-secondary education or career training. Students with disabilities often encounter unique obstacles when transitioning from high school to the workforce, including limited resources and lower employment rates compared to their neurotypical peers. This scholarship aims to bridge that gap by helping students overcome barriers to education and career advancement.
Funds may be used for college tuition, vocational or technical certifications, job coaching, or transportation expenses related to post-secondary education or training.
